DJ Emma is a DJ, producer and broadcaster from Wiltshire with a passion for Soul, Funk, Boogie, Disco and House Music. She has performed at many of the UK festivals, including Glastonbury, Creamfields, Camp Bestival, Wilderness, Shindig and was asked this summer by Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy to do a special ‘Balearic Breakfast’ set at We Out Here Festival in her iconic ‘Love Dancin’ tent.
She is a regular warm-up choice for Craig Charles on his Funk and Soul Club tour across the South West of the UK, including London and Bristol.
She’s also supported the likes of Huey Morgan from BBC 6 Music, Crazy P, Groove Armada and Mousse T and has recently played alongside Kirollus, Micheal Gray, Cody Currie at Bristol Disco Festival.
Emma is also a regular on the club circuits in London, Bristol and Manchester and has played at some incredible venues such as 93 Feet East, Brixton Jamm, Hootenanny, POW Brixton in London and Lakota, Motion and The Thekla in Bristol. When Emma is not busy DJ’ing in the evenings, you will find her teaching DJ’ing and music production in schools and working on her own productions in the studio. Her debut track ‘High On Music’ was released on DJ Spen’s label Quantize last April. Her unreleased tracks that you can find on her Bandcamp page have been supported by many radio shows and DJ’s across the UK and beyond including Balami, Voices radio, 1BTN, Worldwide FM and had regular and consistent support from Craig Charles on his Funk and Soul Show on BBC6 Music.
Emma also has a passion for radio and has her own monthly radio show on Brighton based station 1BTN where she is joined regularly by pioneering legends and rising stars from the world of music and she is also one of BBC Radio Wiltshire’s Friday Night Resident DJ’s as well as being a freelancer where she regularly broadcasts live radio shows as well as curating specialist shows where she promotes emerging artists and musicians from the local area. She has also joined the team at ‘Somethin Else’ as a freelance podcast/radio producer and has recently been producing the BBC Radio 1 Residency show working on both Shy One’s and Joseph Capriati’s shows in the last couple of months of 2022 and is looking forward to working on more projects in 2023.
In 2022 she did a ‘Trunk of Funk’ mix for Craig Charles BBC6 Saturday night show and is looking forward to her EP being released later this year on F*CLR that will feature an original track and a remix from North Street West.
In 2022, Emma joined the prestigious DJ agency ‘The Unity Agency’ alongside artists such as Young Pulse, Dr Packer, Art of Tones, Opolopo and many more.
